<—tools of my soap making

These are photos from my first batch of soap. I started to post them and forgot, so I’ve actually make two different blends. This blend used lard I rendered from the haskins family farm pigs. I had tried to add eucalyptus oil but unfortunately I was a bit light and the scent faded. If you follow my Facebook page you will see a photo of both soap blends in a basket-one deer tallow, and this first one; lard.

It’s been an interesting experience and I can’t wait to make more. I have a few mini bars curing to give out so I can get feedback and potential customers. There is much more I could share but I’ll try to do that as I go along in learning this new skill.
